Carville’s been saying that for some time. And he’s right.

Why is he right, aside from the fact that he’s too old?

Because he’s too nice and assumes Republicans still default to playing fair; they don’t.

Time for a new generation of Democratic leadership- a generation that is not afraid to play by some of the same rules that Republicans have played by increasingly since Newt Gingrich. And a generation that understands the new media landscape that has changed the way groups get their message out.

A new generation that is willing to do what Ralph Reed did for the Christian Coalition back in the day- take over the reins of the Democratic Party- precinct by precinct, county by county.

The Rajun Cajun can be a prickly old funny bastard at times. But in this, he is absolutely right.
