hclasvegas: Almost the entire amount, $690 million, went to the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, headed by Dr. Anthony Fauci and 260 of his scientists.

And when asked today how much of that $690 million went into his pocket, Dr. Fauci said zero. He said he receives a little over $100 a year for a patent he filed 25 years ago that evidently was used during the development of the vaccines but that, obviously, pre-date the pandemic.

Dr. Fauci also said he never used personal email for government business, never deleted work-related emails, and that he and his family constantly receive death threats:

Anthony Fauci, addressing the House subcommittee, detailed the threats and harassment that he and his family received during his time as the director of the national institute of allergy and infectious diseases.

Fauci said he had experienced “everything from harassments from emails, texts, letters of myself, my wife, my three daughters”, as well as “credible death threats” that meant “someone who clearly was on their way to kill me”, adding that he still gets death threats today. He said: “It is very troublesome to me, it is much more troublesome because they involve my wife and my three daughters.”

MAGAts.

In short, republicans spent 15 months reading Dr. Fauci's emails, Slack messages and research proposals, poured over a half a million pages of documents and conducted more than 100 hours of closed-door testimony and got nothing except confirmation that Dr. Fauci dedicated his entire life to making people healthier and to saving lives.

Oh wait, the committee did confirm that Marjorie Taylor Greene is an asshat.

When she refused to address him as "Dr. Fauci" and referred to him as "Mr. Fauci," GOP Chairman Brad Wenstrup reprimanded her and told her to stop.
