And Trump is publicly calling on states to cancel elections already in progress so Republicans can rig new maps before November.
For those who missed it, based on the SCOTUS decision that gutted the Voting Rights Act, elections currently underway in Louisiana have been cancelled.

Republican Louisiana Gov. Jeff Landry canceled the U.S. House elections April 30 after the U.S. Supreme Court ruled on April 29 that the state's congressional map was unconstitutional because the Black-majority 2nd District boundaries are a racial gerrymander.
"Allowing elections to proceed under an unconstitutional map would undermine the integrity of our system and violate the rights of our voters," Landry said in a statement.

As noted before, Trump's poor approval rating, high gas prices, inflation everywhere else, would only be an issue, if there are "free and fair elections" this year.
