lankford is recently seen as a moderate because he is trying to get something done (so a notch above jim jordan level), but is only angry because trump tanked something he could pad his resume with.

b. former baptist minister that STILL supports trump for president

in other words, not just an oblivious bystander, but lankford is an active architect of the modern GOP. and surprisingly naive, thinking his effort on anything would be more important than trump's direction to MAGA politicians and other cult members.
