I am reluctant to share https://www.dailykos.com/stori... because it is from a political site, but is the best piece of analysis I've seen on Tesla's earnings so far. The article touches on Musk's politics but is not limited to it, and the author owns a Tesla and talks in detail about product and design decisions concerns.
TSLA clearly now has a CEO problem. Musk's public behavior is alienating Teslas core group of buyers with limited progress selling to other demographics. But Telsa is also making radical design changes that may be hurting sales. I didn't buy a Tesla after test drive because I didn't like the display and center console, and that was well before the steering yoke. I ended up buying a competing EV. Further, I do not trust the FSD feature after they removed Lidar, and do not appreciate attempts to push this feature.
Beyond these, I have suspected that Tesla's market cap and success has a halo marketing effect. I would be worried that stock price and market cap issues could snowball for them.
I am rooting for TSLA, but concerned. My feeling is the world needs BEVs and Tesla to succeed.
