Yes, that's how it works too - both ways. So they'd show little charts and have masked people and unmasked people and show the exposure. Simple math.

K95s stop 95% of the droplets in the test.

Surgical masks stopped 40% of the droplets. Mostly just splatter stoppers.

I ordered in some K94s from S Korea and the wife was happy, but she was overkill. She would wear a K95, and a K94 over the K95 and then one of these popular copper mesh masks that the Philippine stars wore over both of them. Didn't phase her in the slightest. :)
