Subject: Trump in Full Desperation Mode
This morning, Trump is openly witness tampering on Truth Social, attacking former Georgia Lt. Governor Jeff Duncan, saying he shouldn't be testifying against him.
Isn't witness tampering a crime? Isn't his bail contingent on him not committing a crime? Or does he have to be charged with a crime for it to be a crime?
Trump is also openly taunting Judge Chutkan (after reTruthing an attack on her over the weekend that included her photograph) this morning, claiming she 'admitted' to trying to interfere in the 2024 election to hurt him. Where should the line be drawn between free speech and making defamatory public statements?
So what's his end game here? These are purposeful public statements. Sam Bankman-Fried just had his bail revoked for witness intimidation.
Is Trump simply seeing what he can get away with -- looking for that red line -- before he triggers a call-back before judge Chutkan?
Is he hoping to be admonished against making further attacks (because he's certainly trying to make his Jan 6 case a First Amendment case even though it has nothing to do with the First Amendment), stirring the base?
Does he simply want more fodder to milk the rubes of their last nickels in another round of "defense" fundraising?
Is he intentionally tainting the jury pool?
Is he planting the initial seeds for open rebellion?
Is he seeking martyrdom?
Thoughts?
