Well, lessee. France designed the Arc de Triomphe in 1806 and was defeated less than a decade later. Then again in 1870 when the German army marched under the Arc de Triomphe after their victory in the Franco-Prussian War. German forces again marched under the arch after their victory over France in the Battle of France during World War II in 1940.

So, yeah, sure. Guess the only difference will be that an American president will be defeating the U.S.
