He was a democrat and in favor of a woman's right to choose. Then, opportunist that he is, he decided he was a pro-life conservative. He just looks for whatever might give him a better chance to grift.

The latest was his quick flip flop on contraception. Leave it to the states he said. Oops, that was NOT popular, so quickly flip flop to saying he would never be for restrictions on birth control.

Remember when being a flip flopper was political suicide? It's the beauty of having a cult following. Nothing phases them; they'll follow their dear leader wherever he goes.
