Subject: Re: end of SaaS debate
My employer used (and probably still uses) SAAS. When I first saw it, it was very cumbersome. It might have been UNIX (don't remember now). Later, when I actually had to start using it (internal job transfer), the yield group had created a much friendlier Windows interface. Easier to load data, choose how you wanted it analyzed (e.g. p-plot), grouping data, etc.

So, in our case, adding that layer made it a lot easier. We had a small team of coders doing it (2 guys). When I retired they were still tweaking it, and releasing new features occasionally. But the underlying program was still SAAS.
