Subject: Re: Historic Homicide Rates
Ooo, a crime thread!

Let’s look at true blue Seattle.

2016 - 16
2017 - ~28
2018 - 28
2019 - 28
2020 - 52
2021 - 42
2022 - 52
2023 - 70 through November

Murders and what not are functions of city, county and state governments. You can really see the effect of bad governance…its hard to describe how amazing Seattle was just a few years ago and how a lot of things have fallen apart in just a few years due to a few really, really stupid decisions made by politicians more interested in signally virtue than governing.

If I want to depress myself I’ll pull up the car theft rates. The new thing here is to

1) steal a Kia, since Tik Tok shows you how
2) ram it into some business’ front door
3) loot the place
4) drive off in the backup

Gonna go visit my neighborhood bike shop, who had that happen to it in November.

People who gaslight on crime - and we have a load of them here in Seattle - are among the most dishonest idiots you’ll ever come across.
