Subject: Re: OT UK's Corner Shops
We have one here in Ohio, about a half mile from the house. I'd shop there more if I could walk to it, like I used to walk to the corner shops in the UK. Here the car culture is so strong. No sidewalks.

My wife (American) prefers the Dollar General type stores to the UK corner shops. She thinks the corner shops she's seen are very expensive, which is likely true. You pay up for convenience.
