I feel lied to by the Democrats. There was something they could do, 'cos they did it, but by then it was too late.

Well, there were other factors involved than just who happened to be in office. And of course, 2020 was a local minumum due to COVID. I wish commonone was here to respond in the way only he can, but perhaps with Biden in office, and the economy booming, immigrants simply had a much greater incentive to come.

That said, I too, have never understood why Biden didn't implement the measures he finally decided to put in place in the last few months.
