Subject: Re: Riots in LA
Since LAPD was slow to respond…the California Guard has been called out. Gavin Newsom lost his mind over it.

This is what the New York Times reported about CA’s response:

Gov. Gavin Newsom confirmed the call-up. “The federal government is moving to take over the California National Guard and deploy 2,000 soldiers,” he said in a statement. “That move is purposefully inflammatory and will only escalate tensions.”

Mayor Karen Bass of Los Angeles toed a line between condemning the deployment of National Guard troops in the region and issuing a stern warning to protesters. “Reports of unrest outside the city, including in Paramount, are deeply concerning. We’ve been in direct contact with officials in Washington, D.C., and are working closely with law enforcement to find the best path forward,” she said in a statement. “Everyone has the right to peacefully protest, but let me be clear: Violence and destruction are unacceptable, and those responsible will be held accountable.”

Doesn’t seem like anyone “lost his mind” over anything. In fact, it seems like a calm, thoughtful, and logical response.

I would say Trump has “lost his mind” over it, but you can’t lose something you never had in the first place.
