But that doesn't explain conservative Republican women supporting these policies. They know. Which means they don't care in the aggregate and must believe that in their personal lives and lives of their daughters, they can always get the services they need somewhere.

Some of them genuinely believe that life begins at conception. Perhaps many of them, even perhaps most of them. Those folks support these policies not because they don't care in the aggregate about the difficulties that often accompany pregnancy, but rather because they've formed a general moral judgment about it.

Have they thought through all the consequences of that moral judgment? Considered all the ramifications? Of course not - as is the case with most people on most issues. Which is why those absolute bans that didn't cause the GOP any political problems before they had any legal effect are causing so many problems for them today - because they bring those ramifications out of the realm of the hypothetical into a real person being interviewed on the news.
