Subject: seeker.com [cross-post from Open Letter)
An interesting news tool has emerged that allows users to easily parse the echochamber materials being consumed by our divided nation.

on seekr.com, the user may select left or right leaning media that has been rated as of extremely low reliability\quality.
unlike any media site i am aware of site, seekr attempt to explain how they arrive at a score using factors of : Subjectivity, Personal Attack, Clickbait, Title Exaggeration and the Presence/Absence of a Byline
caveat; the deeply inquisitive may have to grind through a few of their patents. (more on this issue very soon)

as an example :
on 7 july 2023, stories of MTG being booted from The Freedom Caucus garnered the lowest seekr rating, even from sources such as The Atlantic.
my personal conjecture is the rating was assigned based on a story derived from an anonymous source, and TFC claiming it does not comment on membership.

and there is the rub, as the reader always requires effort at every turn, and is nowadays the primary barrier.

if most americans had some baseline competency in STEM, logic, and debate fallacies, a site like this would probably not be needed.
yes, we probably all know bright people that have fallen to either extreme. but we should consider this a [tail effect]^2, as it already starts with small group (i.e., smart people) out of a population distribution.
