Dear Iran....
While I may not share the exact beliefs quoted above, I felt Mr Ahmadenijad's words were a lovely way to start what is admittedly a short note and furthermore, as some in our own Congress, and in our own American streets are starting to demand, we must learn to respect those who haven't had the instincts to manipulate and own sections of our government and other key levers of our society. Back in those days I was so hell bent on supporting the leader of our country, I didn't join the Liberals in cheering those who mocked him and us.
I've learned differently - for we are citizens of the world, not just a country stolen by Europeans and built by European whips and chains and the slave labor they benefitted from.
Anyhow, thank you for setting an example.
Appreciate your not blocking food and medicine for innocent children and civilians and also, overall for not taking territory and relegating a whole people to genocide and apartheid.
Even in dark days we are capable of better - and hopefully some in the world follow your example.
I hope things can settle down.
