Not one I'd considered before but it popped up that Howard Marks had placed a purchase.

You may be basing this on Dataroma's tracker for Oaktree: https://www.dataroma.com/m/hol.... I think the site has mislabeled Oaktree's equity portfolio by attributing it to Howard Marks. Yes, he is a co-founder and Co-Chairman of the firm. But he specializes in distressed debt, high-yield bonds, etc. I very much doubt he is the person at Oaktree who decided to buy JD.com.
