I don't know why I'm really posting on this, so maybe I'm really just expression frustration.

Re Jana Partners, I asked AI for some insights. They have about $2.2 billion in assets, of which just under $2 billion is invested - mostly in 10 stocks.

Markel represents 9% of those investments.

Markel has a $22.2 billion market cap when I looked earlier today. At best. Jana Partners is a 1% shareholder. And a well know activist investor. Looking after themselves trying to make a quick buck.

Why the hell would I pay any attention to them? Does a 1% tail control the dog's actions these days?

I'm not skilled in these matters. But I'd tell them to kiss my ass and shut up. I'll listen when more of my shareholders command attention.

Maybe I'm in a mood today. I usually avoid these topics. Why am I even commenting? I guess I'm getting tired of people like Jana telling people what to to - in their interests, not necessarily the shareholders.

If more would join in, then maybe I'd listen. Like if something really significant came up at this weekend's BRk shareholder meeting. But it would have to come from shareholders with more than a 1% interest. I'll be watching to see.
