If the WayBackMachine has saved all of the Mechanical Investing posts it seems possible that with enough effort someone could scrape all the messages into a searchable database.

As a fellow packrat, I hear you. But that was what datahelper already did, for a long time, until it died for lack of interest. I don't believe it's ever coming back.
