Subject: Re: New York City's Decline
Dope1: With Trump we had $2 dollar gas, low inflation, a functioning supply chain, a border that wasn't out of control...

Right. And to get those things we only had to have a couple thousand Americans die every day.

Funny, isn't it, that gasoline prices declined when 20 million American workers were laid off and tens of millions more Americans worked from home... not to mention millions more around the world on lockdown and not driving.

And funny, too, that when people don't work or are afraid of losing their jobs -- or dying -- that they tend not to spend money, keeping inflation low.

Did you say a functioning supply chain? Right. There weren't shortages of masks, ventilators, gloves, toilet paper, bleach, hand sanitizer, lumber, automobiles, semiconductors, home appliances, pet food, diapers, breakfast cereals, clothes, chemicals, and more.

And sure, no one was trying to cross the border into a country that was watching 2,000 of its citizens die every day, with freezer trucks lined up in cities to store dead bodies because the morgues were overflowing, and hospitals turning away patients or lining their hallways with beds because of a mismanaged pandemic. Helluva' border policy.

Ah, TrumpWorld, where nothing bad ever happens and if it does, cultists simply don't remember it or it's someone else's fault.
