Not me, but I’ve attended many Masonic funerals, and “so mote it be” is a recurrent liturgical refrain.

The phrase made me laugh; it’s so marvelously archaic that anyone who hears it must run to a dictionary to understand exactly what it means….. though a general sense of it can be gleaned simply by the context.

Anyway, when I’ve wanted to say “So be it”, but in an archaic and sonorous tone, that’s the expression I pull out of my…….er……… hat.
