Subject: Re: Gal Gadot's screening ends in brawl
It wasn't really Gadot's screening. She wasn't even there (though her husband was).

Apparently it was Lawrence Bender's "show" (he is a producer of some repute). He wanted to show the initial slaughter of Israeli civilians because he didn't think people had an appropriate amount of outrage (since very few images/video of that has been shown). We see the bombs every day. Sort of like Hamas perpetrated the attacks to get the Palestinian plight front-and-center, so the producer apparently wanted to show the Israeli slaughter (~1400 people) front-and-center.

It was in part this sense of abandonment and isolation that drew him and others to the auditorium of the Museum of Tolerance in Los Angeles on Wednesday evening for a screening of the footage, which had been compiled by the Israeli military, at an event called “Bearing Witness.” With Israel facing mounting criticism for killing thousands of Palestinians in Gaza as it goes after Hamas, the screening was organized to show the brutality with which Hamas targeted Israeli civilians on Oct. 7, with wrenching footage of people being gunned down and images of bloody teenagers and lifeless children.

The violence was outside as pro-Palestinian and pro-Israeli protestors went at it.
