Subject: The view from New Zealand
I've been traveling in New Zealand for the last month and I have looked for opportunities to bring up politics with various Kiwis we've met along the way.
The responses I've gotten have been more or less what I expected. The New Zealanders have been polite but have openly expressed their shock and repugnance with what is happening in the US. In many instances they have brought up the subject without me mentioning anything about politics and, even without knowing my views on Trump, have expressed their dismay and offered sympathy.
I'm sure there are Kiwis who think Trump is great, but we never encountered one.
I would think you would get similar responses in most places around the world, outside of places like Russia and parts of the Middle East where Trump has been busy making corrupt deals with corrupt leaders.
