Subject: Republican Prayers for Vets
Details of the republican budget are out and they're replacing Veteran funding with a republican favorite: thoughts and prayers.

REPUBLICAN BUDGET CUTS

--30 million fewer Veteran outpatient visits, and 81,000 jobs lost across the Veterans Health Administration.

--Reduce rural access to telehealth services.

--Eliminate more than 6,000 staff, increasing the disability claims backlog by an estimated 134,000 claims.

--Cut $565 million for major construction projects, including critical clinical upgrades to hospitals and clinics.

--Eliminate 500 staff at the VA's National Cemetery Administration (hey, they're dead... no big deal).

--Cut SNAP benefits for Veterans.

--Make deep cuts to Department of Health and Human Services community mental health centers, mental health and substance use prevention grants, and other public health programs supporting Veterans and their families.

--Eliminate job training, counseling, and job readiness services for homeless Veterans.

Republicans claim to be the party of Veterans but, in fact, only use them as props and pawns.
