Yep. Like herding cats. It makes me angry that they'd rather fight over dumping an imperfect candidate at the last minute instead of rallying behind the candidate that has won the most votes in the primaries. Or at a bare minimum, point out all of the problems with the opposing candidate instead of pointing out all of the problems with their own candidate. It's a circular firing squad, ferchrissake. Dumb, dumb, dumb

But it's predictable. And Joe should have known how a poor showing would reflect on him. Look, we know he can still do the job. A good chunk of the job is picking the right people for your staff and posts, and he could step down and let Kamala take over if it gets too bad. But reality has has set in. Joe isn't allaying any fears because he can't. So we have a losing hand even though it makes absolutely no sense at all. We're stuck playing out a bad hand unless something fortuitous happens.

If you want to talk to that fellow, fine. But I'm not talking to him.
