Trump links normalizing ties with Israel to Iran peace deal

US President Donald Trump on Monday said Saudi Arabia and other Gulf nations must normalize ties with Israel as part of efforts to reach a deal with Iran, adding fresh uncertainty into protracted peace negotiations.

Progress over a deal to end the conflict that broke out in late February has slowed as both sides talked down the prospect of an imminent agreement, with Tehran saying they were not close to signing and Trump warning he was in no hurry.

In another hurdle for any deal, the US leader said it should be mandatory for Qatar, Pakistan, Egypt, Turkey and Jordan to sign up to the Abraham Accords,

Meanwhile, the rest of the world continues to burn through it's fuel reserves, confident that Trump the Manly and Virile will do an "arty deal" before the tank runs dry.

Oil markets are nearing minimum operating levels in Asia, with Europe likely next and the U.S. potentially facing shortages by July, said veteran market strategist Jeff Currie on Monday, underscoring the global energy shock due to the Iran war.

Headline global inventory figures can be misleading as much of the oil stored worldwide cannot be used immediately, said Currie, Carlyle’s chief strategy officer of energy pathways and co-chairman of Abaxx Markets.

Wouldn't it be interesting, if the intent of the kabuki dance about "negotiations" was to give the world a false sense of security, so serious restraint on fuel burning would not happen. Then the tanks run dry, the Strait is still closed, traders go ACK!!!, and the price really soars?

...because the only outcome acceptable to Israel, and it's water carriers in Congress, is total destruction of the Iranian regime, not an "arty deal" with the existing regime.

Ah, I get it. Let the price of gas soar so high, the USian Sheeple will be willing to accept a full on ground invasion, so they can feed their SUVs, without taking out a mortgage on their house.
