If I were you I would laud the BRK investment, and if you truly have a longer horizon maybe ladder the rest over 3-5 years of either treasuries or MYGAs. Then when those mature you can invest them in securities if the market has fallen out of its AI-driven euphoria, or roll them into another fixed instrument. When might you need this to live on?
