Subject: The Illusion of Vetting
Eight "visitors" from Tajikistan were arrested by ICE yesterday due to their affiliation with ISIS. All eight had previously been vetted at the southern order and deemed OK to let in.

Tell me again about the effectiveness of vetting. I don't blame the border agents. They are overwhelmed and are allowed to languish that way.

PS I don't blame Donald Trump either. He correctly assessed the weakness in the so-called bipartisan border bill. BTW, now that Biden's EO shutting down the border has been in effect for a while, there has actually been an increase in border crossings. Exactly the same thing would have happened with any authority given to Biden under the senate bill or any other. If there is no will to enforce, then why hand Biden a bunch of money that will most likely be used only to increase welcome wagon capacity.
