Subject: Re: Democracy and Election haters
Amd you know this…how, exactly? I’ll answer for you: you don’t.

Nor can I prove that Martians aren’t voting in droves, or that snipe hunters might not bag a trophy snipe one of these days.

But the time, energy and money spent on countless studies and inquiries into the issue of illegal voters have not found significant numbers. In fact, the numbers they have found have been “vanishingly small”.

But like the myth of Martians walking among us, the myth of illegal voting hordes lives on.

Mike Johnson had a telling remark a few weeks ago:

We all know intuitively that a lot of illegals are voting in federal elections, but it’s not been something that is easily provable. We don’t have that number.

You all “just know it”.
You just can’t prove it.

And until you can prove it, we shouldn’t be instituting policies that keep snipes from voting, but are actually having the effect of suppressing the votes of real, living and breathing registered voters.

Which is a roundabout way of answering your question- you can’t prove a negative, Dope. I’ve seen you invoke that rule, so I know you know it.

But here’s something you CAN try to prove- the positive assertion “Illegals are voting in large numbers”

Unfortunately, Republicans have been trying to prove that assertion for decades and keep coming up bupkus.

We all know intuitively……
-That Haitians are eating dogs and cats in Springfield
—That Democrats stole the 2020 election
-That illegals voting is a treal problem
-that FEMA is actively hurting Republican voters in North Carolina
- or that horse paste cures Covid.

But, to quote the Speaker, it’s incredibly difficult to prove

And because you can’t prove something DOES NOT mean that Democrats are simply evil geniuses who are good at hiding the evidence you “know intuitively”is there.

It might just mean that you are full of shit.
