Dope1 brought this story here a couple of days ago in a tweet by Bill Melugin and there were things about it that seemed odd to me at the time. For example, why is one of the men in a polo shirt, not body armor? And he's wearing a backwards baseball cap? And both your article and Dope1's Bill Melugin tweet point out that the men were seen in "the same area where law enforcement arrested five suspected members of the Northeast Cartel in June" so the area was under surveillance but "Border Patrol agents, including the agency's BORTAC tactical unit, were deployed to the area but found nothing."

So Fronton, TX is a heavy cartel area with significant drug smuggling but, what, they just let these three guys wander in?

Weird.

And in the Dope1 tweet, the five men who were previously captured in June look like they don't have a dollar between them with their raggedy boots and clothes.

Back in 2022, Trevińo Chávez, the reported leader of the Northeast Cartel, was arrested. He had been a top focus for both Mexican and US officials. As of July 2021, he was the most-wanted man of a joint effort between the two governments known as the "Se Busca" initiative.

Anyway, three suspicious armed men has got both Dope1 and LurkerMom all titillated. Neither was relieved by or spoke of the 50% drop in border crossings but three guys crossing a known smuggling route has them both giddy with excitment.

No surprise: both are Fox junkies (Bill Melugin is a Fox reporter and was the main source for Tucker Carlson's border issue "news" before Fox booted him).

I mean who in their right mind would vote for a rapist who stole the nation's top secrets -- including TOP SECRET//SCI and HCS-P/SI/TK documents -- and is charged with 32 felony counts of willful retention of national defense information in violation of the Espionage Act and 6 felony counts of obstruction-related crimes under 18 U.S.C. § 1512 and 18 U.S.C. § 1519 plus 2 felony counts of false statements under 18 U.S.C. § 1001.

And under indictment for the January 6 insurrection, charged with 2 felony counts (including one conspiracy count) of obstructing an official proceeding under 18 U.S.C. § 1512, 1 felony count of conspiracy to defraud the United States under 18 U.S.C. § 371, and 1 felony count of conspiracy against rights under 18 U.S.C. § 241.

And under indictment for falsifying business records in connection with a payoff to Stormy Daniels, charged with 34 felony counts of New York Penal Law § 175.10: Falsifying business records in the first degree.

Next week he'll likely be charged with multiple felonies in Georgia.

Gee, there was a time when an investigation and the possibility of an indictment was disqualifying for republican voters.

Today, though, what, 70 or so felony indictments and counting and they don't even blink an eye.
