His message was directed at the native Americans to stop passively waiting for Washington to effectively address these conditions, and get involved beyond the ballot box.

I look forward to the tribal governments engaging with the Trump administration. If past is prologue, I doubt seriously that the Trump administration will take the first, or even second step in that engagement.

But we’ll all have a front row seat to how that engagement goes.
