On another note, from a book I read decades ago on the subject of Jewish-Christian dialogue:

After decades of dialogue on the subject of Christian persecution of Jews, and one thread of origin to be found embedded in some interpretations of the gospel of John, it’s disheartening to hear some “Christians” still mouthing the dangerous and false accusation: the Jews crucified Jesus.
