FWIW, about two years ago we were in Edinburgh, at a little tartan shop near the Castle. 1poorlady was determined to find my tartan after I offhandedly mentioned that my father once told me the Scottish bit of my heritage (I'm a mutt...there's a small bit of Scottish in the mix) was clan MacPherson. The shop keeper started chatting with me. The Felon came up, and he definitely was confused. I didn't mention Boris Johnson, but maybe he was confused about that, too(??). Or, perhaps, he thought Johnson was at least somewhat competent, while the Felon was utterly incompetent. Not sure.

But he was puzzled by the goings-on on this side of the pond.
