It could be so nice: Berkshire did rise 30% since the September low. The S&P did rise 20%. But what - as always in such a case - did the Euro do? Falling 12% since.

Well - it's been the other way around: the euro has risen over that time, and therefore the dollar-denominated assets - measured in euros - have fallen relatively to that.
