The NH-NL indicator reported here by lohill uses the value calculated by gtr1 for the BCCs (Bear Catchers), not the EMA(9).

Stockcharts.com shows the 9-day exponential moving average [EMA(9)] of Nasdaq New Highs minus New Lows to be positive, but the 10-day Simple Moving Average [SMA(10)] has turned negative. I don't know exactly how Robbie calculates his NH-NL value, but I suspect it's closer to using SMA(10) than EMA(9).
