College admissions face new turmoil after Biden’s Education Department fumble

President Joe Biden’s attempt at making it easier for tens of millions of families to access federal aid for college has turned into a government technology blunder reminiscent of the botched rollout of HealthCare.gov.

We were big proponents of the ACA and applied as soon as Healthcare.gov went live. What a frustrating disaster that was. We never did get an approved application that year.

And funnily enough, this year we decided to fill in the FAFSA application for the first time*. Our application is currently in limbo...

*Didn't do it with kid1 - didn't see the point. Advised to do it with kid2, not for federal aid which we won't get, but for other scholarship possibilities.
