As has been explained upthread, Biden did not confer the title upon himself, as both of you believe. He was named the Benjamin Franklin Presidential Professor of the Practice at the University of Pennsylvania and fulfilled the duties they assigned him for that role.

He was a professor exactly as he said.

And as albaby1 pointed out, Biden did actually teach a number of years in law school - he was an adjunct professor while serving in the Senate.

In short, everything Biden said was correct and not a symptom of dementia.

Dementia is Sleepy Don not being able to pronounce four-syllable words anymore like Venezuela or anonymous, three syllable words like origins, or two syllable words like vegan.
