Subject: Re: Background Checks
For some odd reason when I was a kid in school--- why didn't we have lockdown drills?

Perhaps because we didn't talk about absolutely everything in the most apocryphal ways possible:

The planet's going to burn up in 15 years!
COVID's going to kill us all!
<insert group here> is being hunted and killed on the street on a daily basis!

...so on and so forth. We also didn't have social media tech that keeps people staring at small screens, hopelessly addicted to the dopamine hit a "like" or a "rec" gives them and moving them further and further away from interactions with...actual people.

The worst thing we did in the last couple of years was to lock kids at home. You take kids at their most vulnerable ages where they need the most social interaction and you take it away...and replace it with TikTok. We've created a generation of ticking time bombs in the worst cases. In the *best* cases we've stunted the growth of millions of kids who learned nothing while the schools were shut down.
