When the Sandinistas overthrew Somoza, he fled to Paraguay. A Sandinista commando team tracked him down and greased him. I remember when Managua was badly damaged by an earthquake. US aid agencies solicited donations and sent a fortune in aid to Nicaragua. Somoza stole it. If that was typical of his administration of the country, the Sandinistas may have had a point.
