Subject: Donald Trump called Milwaukee 'a horrible cit
...and then he praised Hannibal Lecter again during his meeting with House Republicans today. Here's the headline in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel: Donald Trump calls Milwaukee 'a horrible city' weeks before RNC comes to town.

Donald Trump on Thursday called Milwaukee — where in a little over a month he will be declared the Republican nominee for president — a "horrible city."

Trump made the comment to House Republicans in a morning meeting on Capitol Hill to discuss campaign strategies, among other GOP priorities, ahead of the 2024 election. His remarks came five days before he is scheduled to visit Racine for a campaign rally.

Republicans offered at least five "explanations":

1. Didn't say it that way.

2. The convicted felon was talking about crime and election issues.

3. The convicted felon was saying he “felt we need to do better in urban centers around the country.”

4. The convicted felon was saying republicans “didn’t do very well in Milwaukee.”

5. A convention spokeswoman said the convicted felon was referring to an ongoing debate over where protests should be allowed to occur in the city during the July convention.

Milwaukee's mayor responded: "Donald Trump was talking about things that he thinks are horrible. All of us lived through his presidency, so right back at you, buddy."

President Biden simply said: "I happen to love Milwaukee."

Reportedly, the convicted felon also talked about the late great Hannibal Lector again. Hasn't anyone told him Lector's a fictional character?

Well, as Danny Masterson (isn't he a rapist, too, like convicted felon Donald Trump?) yells at the close of the beginning of each episode of "that '70s Show": "Hello, Wisconsin!"
