Subject: killing the internet?
Lawsuit before the SCOTUS. I understand section 230, and what he was talking about. But it wasn't entirely clear to me if a service provider could be held responsible for content that violates their TOS. Sure, I get that the algorithm presented focused content, and I think steps should have been taken (if possible) to do a TOS check as part of the algorithm (I'm not sure that is possible...not a programmer).
I would also favor just eliminating the algorithm. It would make it more difficult to live in an echo chamber if there wasn't some algorithm working to present you with dodgy content, reinforcing your (often mistaken) beliefs.
