Subject: Tim Scott Won't Accept Election Results
...if Trump loses.

And that, folks, is today's republican party. Either they claim that Trump actually won the 2020 presidential election (which he lost by 7 million popular votes, and 306-232 in the electoral college) or they refuse to commit to accepting the election results in 2024... or both. Usually both.

From Meet the Press:

WELKER: "Will you commit to accepting the 2024 election results?"

TIM SCOTT: "At the end of the day, the 47th president will be Donald Trump."

WELKER: "Wait -- yes or no, will you accept the results?"

TIM SCOTT: "That is my statement."

In short, no. And she actually asked him four times in a row.

Prior to the Trump Cult, no candidate would have survived a pre-election declaration that they would not accept the election results. But in anti-American, anti-democracy TrumpWorld, especially in the veepstakes, refusing to accept a Trump loss is a requirement.
