Subject: Re: OT: UK Labour wins big
Why wouldn't they go for one of the parties further to the right? They could have gone to the Reform party instead of the Labour.

Many did. Nigel Farage specifically wanted to break the Tories and formed his own party.

Seems more like a full on rejection of Conservative policies,

In your mind you want to project your need to believe that your politics are sooper popular but the reality is that it’s more complicated than that.

'The highest tax burden for 70 years' - Keir Starmer
Mr Starmer is right - the overall level of taxation last year was the highest for more than 70 years.
And it is forecast to get higher.</k>

They’re on pace to collect an INSANE amount of taxes, in fact:
The Office for Budget Responsibility (OBR) - the independent body which makes forecasts for the government - predicts that it will collect 37.1p of every pound generated in the economy in 2028-29.

That sound conservative to you?

Go watch Clarkson’s Farm on Amazon (you won’t because I’m the one recommending it). It’ll show you how choked with regulation their farm sector is - they literally can’t do anything without getting some inspector over.

It’s more complicated than Orange Man BADBADBAD Republicans stinky.
