Yeah, 2nm (.002 um) is just the minimum structure that can be printed (generally a "line" or a space between lines). The actual transistors are generally larger.
My company wasn't on the bleeding edge, so I never had to deal with those. We were around .18 um (or 180 nm). We did a bit of foundry (TSMC) at .18 um. TSMC's technology is much closer to the bleeding edge than we were. I think they go down to at least .005 um.
