The security apparatus there is extraordinary. Multiple showings of one's credentials (or for the Great American Public doing tours, showing ID and getting their permission checked by agents in a screening trailer), magnetometer, more credentials at the door to the grounds, and in my case still more security down in the PEOC.

So, if RU state media is there, it is because the WH press office wanted them there.
