If illegal immigrants who are victims of crime run the risk of being found out and deported if they report the crime to the police, they're going to stop doing that.

His argument boils down to allowing some crime over here to occur so we can solve some other theoretical crime over there later. I reject that framing. Completely.

A lot of the people victimized in the entire process wouldn't be once the scumbags are gone. That's especially true for those affected by the illicit drug trade and human trafficking operations the cartels engage in.

Which can make crimes like drugs, gang activity, human trafficking and that sort of thing more difficult to police.

Good thing we're going to start enforcing the laws again, and do our best to make crime...illegal.
