You are certainly entitled to your opinion. But your opinion was based on facts that weren't facts, which is what was pointed out to you. That day was established 15 years ago (which I didn't know either). It just happened to coincide with Easter this year. Big deal. Knowing the history now, it is even more insignificant than I first thought. As I said, just another reason for outrage.

Regarding sports, we used to have some lengthy discussions at AF. I don't care about locker rooms, but I think there is a valid argument that trans athletes should have their own category. It's really simple biology. If Bruce Jenner matured as a male (which he did), and then trans-ed (which he did), is it fair that a men's decathalete compete against women who are not trans? He (now she) would crush them, because he matured with male hormones which endow greater musculature and power (in general). Which is a distinct advantage in most athletics.

There certainly are more serious problems in this world than athletics, but my sense of fairness compels me to say that a woman who dedicates a significant part of her life to her sport should not have to compete against someone who did the same, but had the advantage of maturing with testosterone. If she did testosterone, she'd probably be disqualified for "drugs", but the trans person wouldn't because she got it naturally.
