Subject: VL data issue, surprise
Just in case anybody is interested, the "Current EPS" field in the Value Line data sets seems to be garbage for Apple.

But for apple, the Current EPS field dropped by 25% from $6.17 to $4.60 in the data set from last week and this week, compared to the data set two weeks ago.
This figure doesn't seem to be possible, as it is less than the sum of the quarterly estimates, the firm is doing well, and the estimates for current fiscal and next fiscal years haven't changed.
At the same time the Current EPS field dropped, the trailing EPS figure rose a bit.
Theoretically possible if the forecast for the next quarter plummeted, but there is no reason to think it's true, and the estimate would have to have gone negative.

Unfortunately I don't have an easy way to test the other stocks.
I did a couple of spot checks and didn't immediately see anything fishy, but if someone else can do a spot check or two, much appreciated.
