A former prisoner's story of mistreatment at the hands of Ron DeSantis made headlines. But The New York Times found no evidence to back it up.

I actually hadn't heard about that. But the NYT, ya know, investigates and verifies stuff before going to print. So they interviewed people, and can report there is no evidence to support that claim. DeSantis was too junior an officer to ever have been in a position to witness, or partake, in such a thing.
